Join forces with three other people from Austria’s club culture and create your own unique collaboration to apply for the International Club Culture Matchmaking. The collaboration must consist of four people representing at least three different Austrian federal states (Bundesländer). When assembling your collaboration and preparing your application, please consider the following:

• We are looking for collaborations that bring together different perspectives, backgrounds, experiences, and areas of expertise within club culture.
• The selection will aim for a balanced diversity of participating artists and other club culture stakeholders.
• Both established and emerging artists and professionals are encouraged to apply.
• Since the electronic music scene is male-dominated, artists from marginalized groups will be prioritized for selection in case of equal qualifications.
• The collaboration should demonstrate a genuine interest in working together and engaging in international exchange.

Important:
DJ collectives, clubs, and other participants who were already represented through the International Club Culture Matchmaking Project 2025 are not eligible to participate in this year's edition.
DJ collectives, clubs, and other applicants who applied for the previous edition but were not selected will be given priority in the selection process.

On 07.10.26 the designated contact person of each collaboration will be informed about the outcome of the application.

If your collaboration is selected, the designated contact person must confirm participation within 48 hours of receiving the notification.

If we do not receive confirmation within this period, the place may be offered to another collaboration.

The selected collaboration is responsible for arranging and booking its own travel and accommodation to Leipzig.

Each of the four selected participants will receive a 400 € subsidy for travel and accommodation.

The subsidy will be transferred after the conference, provided that:

• the participant has attended Stadt nach Acht 2026 in Leipzig, and
• the required invoice/receipt documentation has been submitted.

The 400 € subsidy is a maximum reimbursement per person and cannot be paid out before participation has taken place.

Please note: If one member of the selected collaboration is unable to participate due to illness or another unforeseen circumstance, the participant cannot be replaced by another person. The collaboration will therefore attend with the remaining members, and no substitute participant can be nominated after selection.

All eligible applications will be reviewed by the ICCM selection team.

The selection will be based on the following criteria:

1. Diversity of the collaboration – diversity in terms of federal states, backgrounds, perspectives, identities, experience levels, and areas of activity within club culture.
2. Quality and potential of the collaboration – the extent to which the four applicants complement each other and demonstrate a meaningful potential for collaboration.
3. Connection to Austrian club culture – the applicants’ involvement in and contribution to Austria’s club culture.
4. Potential for international exchange – the motivation and potential to actively participate in the conference and contribute to an international club culture network.
5. Balance between established and emerging participants – consideration will be given to ensuring that the project supports both established and emerging voices.

In the case of applications with similar qualifications, priority will be given to underrepresented and marginalized groups, as well as to collaborations that contribute to a broader diversity within the Austrian club culture landscape.

Previous applicants who were not selected in 2025 will be prioritized, provided that they meet the eligibility criteria for this year's edition.

The selection decision will be made by the ICCM selection team and is final.

Für die Bewerbung überlegt euch:

• Wer seid ihr? Was verbindet euch? Was bringt ihr jeweils mit? Und warum wollt ihr gemeinsam Teil des International Club Culture Matchmaking sein?
• Bei der Auswahl möchten wir unterschiedliche Perspektiven und Stimmen aus der österreichischen Clubszene zusammenbringen. Dabei achten wir auf eine vielfältige Zusammensetzung der Kollaborationen und möchten sowohl etablierte als auch aufstrebende Künstler:innen und Clubkultur-Akteur:innen einbeziehen.
• Da der elektronische Musikbereich männlich dominiert ist, werden bei gleicher Qualifikation Künstler:innen aus marginalisierten Gruppen bevorzugt ausgewählt.

Wichtig: Clubs und DJ-Kollektive, die bereits 2025 im Rahmen des International Club Culture Matchmaking vertreten waren, können 2026 nicht erneut teilnehmen. Wer sich 2025 beworben, aber nicht ausgewählt wurde, wird bei der diesjährigen Auswahl bevorzugt berücksichtigt.

Bei vergleichbarer Qualifikation werden Personen aus unterrepräsentierten und marginalisierten Gruppen bevorzugt berücksichtigt.
